Marco Wang Photography ("we," "us," "our") operates www.marcowang.com. We are based in Houston, Texas and photograph weddings and portraits in Texas and internationally. Questions about this policy can go to info@marcowang.com.
Information You Give Us
When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, mobile phone number, event date, event type, your role in the event, how you heard about us, and any message you write. We use this to respond to you, prepare a proposal, and manage your booking.
If you book a session through our scheduling page, the date and time you select and the contact details you enter are collected in order to reserve and confirm your session.
If you purchase a voucher or other offering, you provide payment details directly to our payment processor. We receive confirmation of the purchase, your email address, your billing city, state and postal code, and the last four digits of your card. We never receive or store your full card number.
If you email, call, or text us, we keep that correspondence so we have a record of what was agreed.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, ours records technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits.
We use the Meta Pixel on this site. It sets cookies and reports your activity on our pages back to Meta, which allows us to measure our advertising and show ads to people who have visited us. This means Meta may be able to connect your visit here to your Facebook or Instagram account.

We use a small number of outside services to run our business. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
- Stripe — payment processing. Handles all card data.
- Táve / VSCO Workspace — our client management system. Contact form inquiries are delivered here.
- Calendly — session scheduling.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — advertising measurement, via the Meta Pixel.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- Google — embedded maps on certain pages.
- Pic-Time — online galleries used to deliver finished images to clients.
We may also disclose information if required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.
Photographs and Your Images
Photographs from a session are a record of you, so they deserve their own mention. Unless your contract says otherwise, we may display images from your session in our portfolio, on this website, in print, on social media, and in submissions to publications. If you would prefer that images of you not be used this way, tell us in writing at info@marcowang.com and we will honor it going forward. Where images have already been published or submitted elsewhere, we will make reasonable efforts to have them removed but cannot guarantee removal from third-party publications.
Finished galleries are delivered through a password-protected online gallery. Please do not share gallery passwords with people you do not want viewing your images.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep inquiry and client records for as long as needed to provide our services and to satisfy legal, tax, and accounting requirements — generally several years after a booking concludes. Photographic files are archived according to our standard practice and are not guaranteed to be retained indefinitely; please download and back up your images when they are delivered.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, or delete it. Write to info@marcowang.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may need to retain some information to meet legal obligations.
Texas residents have specific rights under the Texas Data and Privacy Security Act, including the right to know what we collect, to correct or delete it, and to appeal a decision we make about such a request. Residents of other states and countries may have comparable rights under their own laws. We apply the choices described above regardless of where you live.
You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time using the link in the message or by replying and asking. We will still send messages necessary to service a booking you have made.
Security
We use reputable providers and take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We regularly photograph children as part of family and wedding work, always with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information through this website, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
